Subulana is committed to publishing only original scholarly work and treats all forms of plagiarism as a serious breach of publication ethics.

Similarity Screening

All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using iThenticate or an equivalent similarity detection tool before being sent for peer review. A similarity index above 20 percent will result in the manuscript being returned to the authors for revision or rejected without review, depending on the nature and extent of the overlap.

Self-Plagiarism

Self-plagiarism, defined as the unacknowledged reuse of the author's own previously published text, data, or figures, is treated with the same seriousness as the plagiarism of another person's work. Authors are expected to clearly cite and distinguish any material drawn from their own prior publications.

Consequences of Plagiarism

Authors whose manuscripts are found to contain plagiarized content prior to acceptance will be required to revise and resubmit, or their manuscripts will be rejected, depending on the severity of the overlap. Authors whose manuscripts are found to contain plagiarized content after acceptance will have their papers retracted and their institutional representatives notified.
