Abstrak

MUI halal accreditation proves the safety of the product for consumption. The government wants to ensure that people can consume products that are safe and meet halal standards as Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world. The only way the government can guarantee halalness is through halal certification, as the majority of buyers in the country are Muslims. Article 140 of Government Regulation No. 39 of 2021 sets the start date from October 17, 2019 to October 17, 2024 for the halal certification process mentioned in Article 139 paragraph 2 letters a and c, as well as food products, beverages, slaughter products, and slaughter services. This research aims to find an easy-to-implement local government intervention model to implement the BPJPH Law in Pamekasan and Sumenep Districts. A qualitative descriptive method will be used in this research. It involves conceptualization where the author will concentrate on how to obtain facts carefully and clearly. The researcher uses secondary data from scientific journals, books, websites and newspapers on her research topic, as well as primary data from field sources or research locations. The focus of this research is how local governments help implement the BPJPH Law and protect business actors.
