Abstrak

This research was motivated by curiosity about the application of the Learning Community-based Contextual Teaching and Learning model at Al-Khatibiyah High School. In this case, researchers are interested in the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model based on Learning Community which is carried out by teachers to increase students' motivation and interest in learning. This research was conducted with the aim of finding out how to apply the Learning Community-based Contextual Teaching and Learning model to PAI learning at Al-Khatibiyah High School.

The method used is descriptive qualitative. With this type of Field Research, data collection techniques are carried out using (1) interviews (2) observation (3) documentation. Data sources were selected as primary data and secondary data. The data analysis used is field analysis and field data analysis. Checking the validity of the data using triangulation techniques.

The results of the research show that learning using the Contextual Teaching and Learning model based on Learning Community in Islamic Religious Education learning is already running and can be categorized as good but not optimal. This is because there are obstacles for the students, namely that there are still students who tend to be passive when learning takes place.
